COMPETENCIES’ ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY AND SENIOR MANAGERIAL PERSONNEL SELECTION

The objective of this article is to reveal the most demanded competencies for senior management personnel and discuss methods approaches assessing such within framework Open Mass Personnel Contests (OMPC). articleprovides an overview modern research on business leaders, as well literature civil servants: focus researchers increasingly shifting skills abilities a manager create value through conscious interaction with team stakeholders. paper presents candidates positions at contest «Leaders Russia». It shown that, other things equal, persons representing in large organizations were more successful than groups different stages likelyto win competition. This indicates that procedures competition, likely, contributed achievement main goal - selection people corresponding top management. Basic socio-demographic characteristics (gender age) not associated success process. author concludesthat open competition transparent way using both allows select promising managerial ensures inclusiveness positions. At same time, factors correct conducting all OMPC, ensuring sufficient quality quantity entrance,and careful competency assessment tools are great importance.
